2027 Summer Real Estate Capital Internship - Atlanta ICG
About The Position
KeyBank’s 10.5-week Enterprise Internship provides meaningful work, feedback and coaching, networking opportunities, Learning Labs, and an assigned mentor. The program connects interns with business-specific projects that support Key’s business and strategic priorities and is designed to develop interest in a full-time career at Key. The internship is with KeyBank Real Estate Capital’s Institutional Capital Group (ICG), which serves the capital and banking needs of public and private REITs, real estate operating companies, real estate fund sponsors, and real estate private equity firms. ICG supports clients through corporate credit facilities, syndicated finance, acquisition and bridge loans, permanent debt, public and private bonds, and public and private equity. The internship is a pipeline to full-time Analyst positions and may offer interns the potential to return after graduation. The program runs from May 26, 2027, through August 6, 2027, at 1200 Abernathy Road NE, Atlanta, Georgia. Key prioritizes in-office presence while providing flexible options when work can be performed effectively in a mobile environment.
Requirements
- Have completed at least two years toward a four-year undergraduate degree in finance, real estate, or a related field, with anticipated graduation in or before May 2028.
- Have a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.3.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills, effective time management, intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, teamwork, ability to synthesize and interpret information, and financial acumen.
- Demonstrate teamwork and leadership through extracurricular activities.
- Must not require employment visa sponsorship to work in KeyBank’s Internship or Analyst positions.

Responsibilities
- Research economic conditions and market trends.
- Develop strategic contact databases.
- Conduct neighborhood, industry, and prospective tenant research.
- Perform field research and prepare marketing materials.
- Complete a Capstone Project applying learnings from the internship.
- Perform other duties as necessary to support the goals and objectives of the Real Estate Capital team.
