About The Position

Redfin’s Associate Agent role is for new or experienced real estate agents who want flexibility and the ability to work with customers on their own schedule. Associate Agents earn a flat-rate payment for each field event rather than closing transactions. The role includes showing homes, hosting open houses, and attending inspections. Agents set their own hours and control their workload, with many customer opportunities, especially on weekends. There is no sales pressure, contract work, or responsibility for closings. The work is conducted remotely in the field, without office visits. Redfin also offers optional educational services at no cost. Applicants may be able to begin earning within 14 days, depending on the application process and availability in their area. Applicants must hold a real estate license in the state where they will work and be willing to affiliate that license exclusively with Redfin. They must also be willing to join the local MLS and Realtor Association, have or obtain a smartphone, laptop, and GPS, and have reliable transportation with the ability to travel within their market. The role is offered as an independent contractor opportunity. Applicants who meet minimum qualifications may be invited to a video screen; a recruiter will provide next steps if an opening is available in the area. If no opening is available, Redfin may retain applicant information for future contract opportunities. Redfin conducts background screening consistent with applicable law and considers qualified applicants with criminal record histories.
