About The Position
LDA Minnesota seeks to employ a highly qualified educator to provide reading and math interventions to students in grades 5-8 at a non-public school in Minneapolis. LDA Minnesota is seeking a part-time intervention teacher to work 32 hours per week for the 2026-2027 academic year. Paid planning, prep, and professional development are included. The position will work daily delivering 1:1 or small group instruction, with prep provided at a non-public school in Minneapolis.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of structured literacy.
- Experience teaching Title 1 supplemental services.
- Hold an Tier 3 or 4 MN Educator license in related area.
- Ability to track student progress using data.
- Collaboration with the site coordinator and staff.
- Ability to use data to guide instruction.
- Effective technology integration.
- Willingness to learn.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with urban students.
Responsibilities
- Adapt lesson plans for students significantly behind their peers who struggle with essential reading and math skills.
- Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction.
- Maintain accurate and complete records of the student's progress and development.
- Communicate with school staff bi-weekly to update the student's progress.
