About The Position

LDA Minnesota seeks to employ a highly qualified educator to provide reading and math interventions to students in grades 5-8 at a non-public school in Minneapolis. The position will work daily delivering 1:1 or small group instruction, with prep provided at a non-public school in Minneapolis. LDA Minnesota is seeking a part-time intervention teacher to work 32 hours per week for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Requirements

Hold an Tier 3 or 4 MN Educator license in related area
Ability to track student progress using data
Collaboration with the site coordinator and staff
Ability to use data to guide instruction
Effective technology integration
Willingness to learn

Nice To Haves

Strong understanding of structured literacy
Experience teaching Title 1 supplemental services
Experience working with urban students desired
Understanding of Title 1 teacher role

Responsibilities

Adapt lesson plans for students significantly behind their peers who struggle with essential reading and math skills.
Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction.
Maintain accurate and complete records of the student's progress and development.
Communicate with school staff bi-weekly to update the student's progress.
