About The Position
Temporary hourly-intermittent student assistant position(s) available in Mathematics. Positions available on or after August 31, 2026 and ending on or before May 21, 2027. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance. This role involves homework grading for lower division math courses. Duties include assisting the instructor with grading homework assignments using provided solutions, recording student scores, and performing any other assigned duties or projects.
Requirements
- Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
- Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.
- Demonstrates grade of “B” or better in the lower division course to be graded or in comparable mathematics courses.
- Demonstrates competency in Mathematics above the level of the course to be graded.

Responsibilities
- Assist instructor with grading homework assignments (with provided solutions).
