About The Position

The University of Washington Information School is recruiting graduate students for the LIS 598 A hourly Reader/Grader position. Qualifications are based on prior course work, skill level, experience, and schedule availability. LIS 598: Video as Inquiry: Youth, Media, and Community in a Networked Age. LIS 598 A Lecture: M/W 5:30 pm - 7:20 pm. This position will work a maximum of 10 hours per week.

Requirements

  • Master's Student
  • Applicants must be located in the United States for the duration of the appointment.
  • Graduate students enrolled in a minimum of 5 credits at the University of Washington Seattle as of Autumn 2026
  • Strong interest and ability to work with students having diverse skill levels.
  • Prior completion of LIS 598 with strong performance or demonstrated proficiency in the course content.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and grade exams and papers
  • Maintain grading records
  • Manage, and respond to course related email
  • Attend instructor/employee meetings
  • Attend lectures and office hours
  • Review literature
