About The Position

Ryder is hiring a Warehouse Reach Truck Forklift Operator in Charlotte, North Carolina. The role supports warehouse fulfillment and distribution, handling commercial HVAC parts in a clean, organized facility. The position is on the weekend shift, Saturday through Monday, from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM. Pay is $22.23 per hour, with overtime paid at $33.34 per hour. Warehouse positions are paid weekly. Training and safety gear are provided.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least two years of related warehouse and powered industrial lift experience required.
• Ability to read, perform basic mathematics, and understand and respond to written and verbal instructions in English for safety, work instructions, and policies.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Ability to input data into a computer system.
• Ability to work overtime as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and apply Warehouse Management System (WMS) order instructions.
• Recognize and correct potential process errors before they adversely affect the customer.
• Identify damaged products during the warehousing process and take appropriate action.
• Pull assigned orders accurately.
• Stage orders according to carrier location and verify the number of pallets picked and their stage location.
• Prepare receiving, storage, and shipping documentation while retaining product accountability throughout the logistical process.
• Follow location and work-center safety and security policies and procedures.
• Train others in various warehouse functions, including safe operation of powered industrial lift equipment, when required.
• Perform housekeeping and other duties as assigned.
• Operate forklift equipment or other warehouse machinery.
