About The Position

Ryder is hiring a Warehouse Reach Truck Forklift Operator in Charlotte, North Carolina. The role handles commercial HVAC parts in a clean, organized warehouse facility and supports distribution and fulfillment operations. The schedule is Saturday through Monday, 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM. Pay is $22.23 per hour for the weekend shift, with overtime at $33.34 per hour and a $1.00-per-hour weekend night shift premium. Warehouse positions are paid weekly.

The position includes paid training and safety gear. Requirements

• At least two years of related warehouse and powered industrial lift experience.
• Ability to read, perform basic mathematics, and understand and respond to written and verbal instructions in English for safety, work instructions, and policies.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Ability to input data into a computer system.
• Ability to work overtime as assigned.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and apply Warehouse Management System (WMS) order instructions.
• Recognize and correct potential process errors before they adversely affect the customer.
• Identify damaged product during the warehousing process and take appropriate action.
• Pull assigned orders accurately.
• Stage orders according to carrier location and verify the number of pallets picked and their staging location.
• Prepare receiving, storage, and shipping documentation while retaining product accountability throughout the logistical process.
• Follow location and work-center safety and security policies and procedures.
• May train others in warehouse functions, including safe operation of powered industrial lift equipment.
• Perform housekeeping and other duties as assigned.
• Operate forklift equipment or other warehouse machinery.
