About The Position

Ryder is hiring a Warehouse Reach Truck Forklift Operator in Charlotte, North Carolina, to handle commercial HVAC parts in a warehouse fulfillment environment. The role operates reach-truck forklift equipment and supports the accurate, safe movement and processing of warehouse orders. Ryder describes its facilities as clean, organized, and well-run, with a focus on safety and continuous improvement. The position is scheduled Friday through Sunday from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM. Pay is $22.23 per hour for the weekend shift, with overtime paid at $33.34 per hour. Warehouse positions are paid weekly. Paid training and safety gear are provided.

Requirements

• At least two years of related warehouse and powered industrial lift experience.
• Ability to read, perform basic mathematics, and understand and respond to written and verbal instructions in English for safety, work instructions, and policies.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
• Ability to input data into a computer system.
• Ability to work overtime as assigned.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and apply Warehouse Management System (WMS) order instructions.
• Identify and correct potential process errors before they adversely affect the customer.
• Identify damaged product during the warehousing process and take appropriate action.
• Pull orders accurately as assigned.
• Stage orders according to carrier location and verify the number of pallets picked and their staging location.
• Prepare receiving, storage, and shipping documentation, maintaining product accountability throughout the logistical process.
• Follow location and work-center safety and security policies and procedures.
• Train others in warehouse functions, including safe operation of powered industrial lift equipment, if required.
• Perform housekeeping duties and other duties as assigned.
• Operate forklift equipment or other warehouse machinery.
