About The Position
We are looking for a positive, respectful and responsible clinical assistant (RDA or OAP only) who has working experience in an orthodontic practice. This is a part time position, starting with 2 days/week with the potential for future increases to more working days.
Requirements
- Current CA Dental board-approved 8-hour Infection Control certificate
- BLS certificate
- Dental Practice Act certificate
- Radiation Safety certificates
- Active RDA certificate or OAP certificate
- Working experience in an orthodontic practice
Responsibilities
- Assist or work independently under supervision of the Orthodontist in clinical care of patients
- Take diagnostic records including ceph/pano/photos/digital scans/CBCT
- Perform proper infection control techniques in keeping clinical area safe for patients and staff members
- Sterilize instruments and perform normal equipment maintenance
- Responsible with laboratory duties such as sending out digital lab orders or 3D printing of clear retainers
- Keeping practice clean and organized
- Inventory management
- Scheduling patients
- Assist in community outreach /marketing events
- Assist in front office duties
- Takes after hour emergency calls
