About The Position

MedCare Pediatric provides individualized therapy for children with autism and developmental disabilities, emphasizing collaboration, compassion, and clinical integrity. Behavior Technicians work one-on-one with children to develop communication, social, and daily living skills through applied behavior analysis (ABA). The work may be physically and emotionally challenging and calls for patience, consistency, and enthusiasm for helping children reach their potential. The role includes support and training as the employee develops in the position.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• At least 1 year of experience and/or exposure to working with children.
• Comfort working with children or individuals with special needs.
• Ability and commitment to complete the company’s 40-hour training course to obtain certification.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
• Maintain a highly professional, positive attitude and demonstrate reliability and punctuality.
• Pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to clients in one-on-one and group settings, following behavior reduction plans and protocols.
• Collect behavior and skill acquisition data using company-issued tablets and complete daily session notes.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and parents.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings.
