About The Position

Workable Solutions Investigative & Protective Services, LLC (WSIPS) is hiring armed and unarmed Rapid Response Security Officers for assignments throughout Alabama. Officers support planned assignments, urgent client requests, and unexpected coverage needs. Work is on call, as needed, and may involve variable shifts; officers must communicate promptly, remain deployment-ready, and report for duty on short notice during their agreed availability. Hours and assignment frequency depend on client needs and officer availability, and the role does not guarantee a fixed weekly schedule or minimum weekly hours. Assignment opportunities include event, mobile patrol, retail, alarm response, corporate, and fire watch security. Officers are expected to follow post orders and company policies, maintain a professional appearance, provide courteous customer service, use sound judgment and de-escalation skills, and complete accurate documentation. Assignments may take place during days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays. The position is based in Alabama, with assignments determined by service area and operational needs. Hourly compensation is $18–$21 for unarmed officers and $23–$26 for armed officers. Actual pay depends on qualifications, experience, assignment requirements, and location; assignment rates and applicable premiums are communicated before acceptance. Requirements

Current Alabama Security Regulatory Board (ASRB) credentials appropriate to the position.
Armed applicants must possess a current ASRB Armed Security Officer license and meet company firearm qualification and equipment requirements.
Reliable transportation and a working smartphone for dispatch communication.
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record for driving assignments.
Ability to perform assigned duties, including standing, walking, and working outdoors, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to meet applicable background screening, training, and client requirements.
Applicants must identify the locations they can cover and the days and hours they can reliably accept short-notice assignments.
Applicants must be able to communicate promptly and report on short notice during agreed availability.

Responsibilities

Respond promptly to dispatch calls, texts, and assignment requests during agreed availability.
Report to assignments on short notice, properly uniformed and equipped.
Follow post orders, company policies, and assignment instructions.
Maintain a professional appearance and provide courteous customer service.
Use sound judgment, de-escalation skills, and clear communication.
Complete accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation.
Remain alert, dependable, and ready to adapt to changing assignments.
For event security, support access control, crowd management, guest assistance, and incident response.
For mobile patrol, conduct vehicle and foot patrols, inspect properties, and document security concerns.
For retail security, maintain a visible security presence, support loss prevention procedures, and assist with disturbances.
For alarm response, respond to dispatched alarms, assess conditions, report findings, and coordinate with emergency services when necessary.
For corporate security, protect facilities, monitor access, assist employees and visitors, and enforce site procedures.
For fire watch, conduct designated patrols, identify and report fire hazards, maintain required logs, and follow site emergency procedures.
