About The Position

Piedmont Airlines is seeking a motivated, reliable Ramp Agent to join its Ground Handling Department. The role primarily involves baggage handling and aircraft servicing in a fast-paced outdoor airport environment. Agents are expected to keep company goals and customer expectations in mind while performing daily tasks and must successfully complete the Ramp Agent training course. The position reports to the General Manager. Employment is contingent upon a valid driver’s license and clear driving record, a 10-year Criminal History Records Check, and a drug screen as required. Applicants must provide proof of high school or GED completion and be at least 18 years old. The starting rate is $18.40 per hour. Requirements

Successfully complete the Ramp Agent training course.
Ability to meet company goals and customer expectations in a high-energy environment.
Effective communication skills.
Ability to organize, prioritize, and multitask.
Valid driver’s license and clear driving record.
Complete a 10-year Criminal History Records Check and drug screen as required.
Proof of high school or GED completion.
Minimum age of 18.

Nice To Haves

Previous airline experience.
Previous employment as a front-line customer service provider.
Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.

Responsibilities

Perform below-the-wing aircraft servicing.
Load and unload baggage and cargo.
Operate motorized service vehicles and equipment.
Guide and park aircraft.
Perform cabin maintenance tasks.
De-ice aircraft.
Work as part of a team to provide excellent customer service and meet corporate objectives.
