About The Position

Piedmont Airlines is seeking a motivated, reliable Ramp Agent for its Ground Handling Department. The role primarily involves handling baggage and servicing aircraft in a fast-paced outdoor airport environment, while keeping company goals and customer expectations in mind. The successful candidate must complete the Ramp Agent training course. The position reports to the General Manager. Employment is contingent upon a valid driver’s license and clear driving record, a 10-year Criminal History Records Check, and a drug screen as required. Applicants must provide proof of high school or GED completion and be at least 18 years old.

Requirements

Successfully complete the Ramp Agent training course.
Meet company goals and customer expectations in a high-energy environment.
Have effective communication skills.
Be able to organize, prioritize, and multitask.
Have a valid driver’s license and clear driving record.
Pass a 10-year Criminal History Records Check and drug screen as required.
Provide proof of high school or GED completion.
Be at least 18 years old.

Nice To Haves

Previous airline experience.
Previous employment as a front-line customer service provider.
Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.

Responsibilities

Perform below-the-wing aircraft servicing.
Load and unload baggage and cargo.
Operate motorized service vehicles and equipment.
Guide and park aircraft.
Perform cabin maintenance tasks.
De-ice aircraft.
Work as a team to provide excellent customer service and meet corporate objectives.
