About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a full-time security officer in Vernon, California. The role involves patrolling sensitive areas, observing and anticipating risks, controlling access to secure locations, responding to alarms and incidents, and protecting people and property. Officers move around throughout their shifts and may need to respond quickly to threats. The posting lists three schedule options, each at 32 hours per week: Saturday–Wednesday, 11:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.; Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., and Monday and Tuesday, 3:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m.; or Monday and Tuesday, 1:00 a.m.–9:00 a.m., and Wednesday and Thursday, 5:00 p.m.–1:00 a.m. The hourly wage is $21. Requirements

• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
• Have a valid driver's license.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have a state security license (BSIS Guard Card) and additional 32-hour BSIS security training; additional training may be obtained during the hiring process.

Nice To Haves

• First aid certification is an asset.
• Security, military, or law enforcement experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Patrol sensitive areas to identify suspicious activity.
