This fellowship program offers an opportunity to assist in performing diagnostic imaging procedures across various modalities, supporting patient care, safety, and comfort. Requirements

  • Final year of an approved Radiologic Technologist Program
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Eligible for ARRT (R) certification upon graduation
  • Clinical rotation experience through an approved educational program
  • Will be required to obtain modality-specific certifications (CT, MRI, or Mammography) within 1 year of orientation, based on assigned modality

Responsibilities

  • Assist in performing diagnostic imaging procedures across various modalities, supporting patient care, safety, and comfort.
  • Supports the mission, vision, values and strategic goals of Methodist Health System.
  • Assist with imaging procedures under supervision including patient positioning, equipment operation, and image acquisition.
  • Verify patient identification and procedure accuracy; obtain informed consent when required.
  • Provide patient education and ensure comfort throughout procedures.
  • Maintain cleanliness and aseptic techniques during all patient interactions.
  • Observe and assist with imaging and interventional procedures under CT guidance.
  • Assist with MRI exams, patient screening, and safety protocols.
  • Support screening and diagnostic mammography procedures; prepare patients and maintain compliance with MQSA standards.
