Radiology Technologist - OR & ER (Night Extra Pay) - Barnes
About The Position
BJC HealthCare System is seeking a Full-Time Radiology Technologist for Barnes-Jewish Hospital – New Plaza West Tower (main level). This position offers a $5,000 Sign On Bonus for eligible candidates. Upcoming grads, New Grads, and experienced Radiologic Technologists are welcome to apply. The role involves performing radiographic imaging examinations independently, with occasional time in the Operating Room (OR), portable exams, and other tasks assigned by the department. The technologist will work independently in the emergency room (ER) using Siemens equipment in our ED and a combination of Samsung and Carestream portables. The hospital is a leading institution in Missouri, ranked nationally by U.S. News & World Report, and is known for its advanced imaging equipment and pioneering work in radiology.
Requirements
- Associate degree or higher
- Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography - R.T.(R)
- ARRT registered technologist.

Responsibilities
- Performs general imaging radiographic procedures to adult and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders
- Prepares patient and equipment for procedures. Informs patient on instructions and what the procedure entails with a high level of customer service and professionalism.
- Performs radiographic imaging examinations independently, in on-call situations (if applicable), portable exams, and other tasks assigned by the department.
