About The Position

BJC HealthCare System is seeking a Full-Time Radiology Technologist for Barnes-Jewish Hospital – New Plaza West Tower (main level). This position offers a $5,000 Sign On Bonus for eligible candidates. Upcoming grads, New Grads, and experienced Radiologic Technologists are welcome to apply. The role involves performing radiographic imaging examinations independently, with occasional time in the Operating Room (OR), performing portable exams, and other tasks assigned by the department. The technologist will work independently in the emergency room (ER) and provide coverage to the vascular room overnight. The department utilizes Siemens equipment in the ED and a combination of Samsung and Carestream portables. Exams are performed on in-house patients and in the OR.

Requirements

• Associate degree or higher
• Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography - R.T.(R)
• ARRT registered technologist.
• Associate or Trade School Equi

• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic imaging procedures in at least one advanced imaging modality (defined as Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Interventional, Mammography, Bone Density, Cardiac Catheterization) on adults and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment, and quality control.
• Prepares patient and equipment for procedures.
• Performs studies independently, in on-call situations, portable exams, and other site as required by work area.
• Performs radiographic imaging examinations independently.
• Occasional time in the Operating Room (OR).
• Portable exams and other tasks assigned by the department.
• Work independently in the emergency room (ER).
• Performing exams on in-house patients and the OR.
• This position will also help provide coverage to our vascular room overnight (Siemens zeego).
