Radiology Technologist
About The Position
As a Radiologic Technologist in the Ortho Neuro Imaging department, you assist radiologists with imaging procedures, ensuring diagnostic-quality images and the comfort and safety of patients. The role is located at WNY- Orthopedics at Canandaigua and is scheduled for 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The position includes performing radiography in assigned areas, maintaining patient service during unsupervised shifts, and providing on-call coverage for the Diagnostic Section of Radiology. You also prepare and maintain imaging rooms and document patient exams and related procedures using RIS/PACS and inpatient charts as needed.
Requirements
- A two-year college certificate or equivalent.
- NYS license in Radiologic Technology, or a NYS permit with licensure obtained within six months of hire.
- If licensed after 2007, obtain American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification within one year of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Radiologic Technologist experience.
- BLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Perform radiography of patients in all assigned areas.
- Maintain accountability for timely and proper patient service during unsupervised shifts.

- Provide excellent patient service.
- Clean, restock, and prepare rooms daily.
- Ensure concise and complete documentation of patient exams and related procedures using RIS/PACS and inpatient charts as necessary.
