About The Position
This is a full-time position for a Radiology Tech working 4 x 10-hour shifts, typically Tuesday through Friday from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm. The role involves arranging patients for radiological examinations, producing radiographs (x-rays) for diagnosis, and ensuring patients are not exposed to unnecessary radiation. The position operates under immediate supervision, requiring a degree of creativity and latitude, and typically reports to a chief technologist or manager. Cross-training is available for MRI, Mammography, and Ultrasound.
Requirements
- Associate's degree from an accredited program required
- Registration as a technologist by the A.R.R.R.T. required
- License to practice in the state of Kentucky is required
- Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- MRI, Mammography and Ultrasound credentials preferred but not required
- Experience preferred
- MRI, Mammography and Ultrasound registration preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Arranges patients for radiological examinations
- Produces radiographs (x-rays) to aid in the diagnosis of medical problems
- Prevents patient from being exposed to unnecessary radiation
- Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
