About The Position

Operates radiation imaging equipment. Performs radiographic procedures and related techniques to produce diagnostic images. Assists radiologist and other physicians performing imaging procedures. Provides procedural-related patient care and education. Maintains record and documentation for procedures.

Requirements

Must be licensed and hold current certification in Radiologic Technology by the State of California., Radiologic Health Section, Department of Health.
Must be licensed by American Registry of Radiological Technology (ARRT).
CT experience
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Basic computer literacy and applications for data entry, record maintenance.
Ability to recognize life threatening conditions and implement basic life sustaining actions.
Ability to accurately position the body for imaging.
Utilize techniques to physically manipulate and apply accessories to produce a desired image.
Ability to select technical factors and operate imaging equipment to produce a quality diagnostic image.
Use of beam restricting devices, patient shielding techniques, proper screen-film combinations, assessment and implementation of appropriate exposure to factors to minimize radiation exposure.
One year Radiologic Technologist experience in one of the following modalities: CT, MRI, Specials, Ultrasound or Nuclear Medicine.
Must be able to arrive at the hospital within 30 minutes of being paged while on call.

Nice To Haves

Obtain Fluoroscopy permit within two years of employment.
