About The Position

The Radiology Nurse is accountable for interpreting the plan of medical care, assessing patients and making clinical decisions regarding nursing care, ensuring care is provided safely and competently, providing individualized nursing care, and evaluating care for groups of patients. This position requires patient care and is based onsite at 480 Lynnfield Street. It is a per diem position mainly providing weekend coverage, with availability to pick up weekday shifts potentially requested.

Requirements

Associate’s degree in Nursing required; experience cannot substitute for a degree.
Registered Nurse (RN) state license.
BLS and ACLS required.
Three years of medical-surgical nursing experience required.
Familiarity with the principles and skills needed for practical nursing and patient care.
Knowledge of care required for the age groups served.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and secure sensitive information.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Excellent verbal and communication skills.
Ability to accurately screen and triage acute patients.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
One year of critical care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.
Administer medications and monitor patients for reactions or side effects.
Record patients’ medical information and vital signs.
Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients’ conditions.
Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans.
Modify patient treatment plans based on patients’ responses and conditions.
Provide safe, competent, and individualized nursing care and evaluate care for groups of patients.
