About The Position

Provides general nursing care to patients and families throughout the continuum of care within the Imaging Department at Marion General Hospital, collaborating with the health care team. The nurse is accountable for the practice of nursing as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing and is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for assigned patients.

The RN performs stress testing and supports imaging procedures, providing pre-procedural, procedural, and post-procedural care for patients requiring CT, ultrasound, and x-ray procedures. The role also includes moderate sedation duties, in accordance with department policies and nursing care standards. As part of a High Reliability Organization, the nurse maintains a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.

Requirements

• Associate's degree required.
• Current Registered Nurse license from the State of Ohio.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• A BSN is required after five years of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial, ongoing, and functional health-status assessments appropriate to the patient population and individual.
• Document planned nursing interventions based on nursing diagnoses and collaborative problems to achieve outcomes appropriate to patient needs.
• Evaluate and document patient responses to nursing interventions and achievement of outcomes at appropriate intervals.
• Revise the plan of care based on evaluative data as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Participate in process-improvement activities to achieve targeted clinical quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance measures.
• Perform stress testing and support imaging procedures, including pre-procedural, procedural, and post-procedural patient care for CT, ultrasound, and x-ray.
• Perform moderate sedation duties according to department policies and nursing care standards.
• Perform other duties as requested by the supervisor.
