About The Position

The Radiology Nurse is accountable for interpreting the medical care plan, assessing patients and making clinical decisions regarding nursing care, ensuring care is provided safely and competently, delivering individualized nursing care, and evaluating care for groups of patients. This is a patient-care position at North Shore Medical Center’s Lynn Medical Village. The role is onsite and primarily provides weekend coverage; availability to pick up weekday shifts may also be requested.

Requirements

Associate’s degree in Nursing required; experience cannot be accepted in lieu of a degree.
Registered Nurse (RN) state license required.
BLS certification required.
ACLS certification required.
Three years of medical-surgical nursing experience required.
Familiarity with practical nursing principles and skills for providing patient care and treatment.
Knowledge of care required for the respective age groups served.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and secure sensitive information.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Excellent verbal and communication skills.
Ability to accurately screen and triage acute patients.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
One year of critical care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.
Administer medications and monitor patients for reactions or side effects.
Record patients’ medical information and vital signs.
Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients’ conditions.
Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans.
Modify patient treatment plans based on patients’ responses and conditions.
Interpret the medical care plan, assess patients, and make clinical decisions regarding nursing care.
Provide safe, competent, and individualized nursing care, and evaluate care for groups of patients.
