About The Position

The Radiology Nurse is accountable for interpreting the plan of medical care, making clinical decisions about nursing care based on patient assessments, ensuring nursing care is provided safely and competently, providing individualized nursing care, and evaluating care for groups of patients. This position requires patient care and is primarily intended to provide weekend coverage, although availability to pick up weekday shifts may be requested. The role is onsite at 480 Lynnfield Street and works a day shift.

Requirements

Associate's degree in Nursing required; a bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.
Registered Nurse state license required.
BLS and ACLS required.
Three years of medical-surgical nursing experience required.
Familiarity with the principles and skills needed for practical nursing to provide patient care and treatment.
Knowledge of care required for the age groups receiving care.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and secure sensitive information.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Excellent verbal and communication skills.
Ability to accurately screen and triage acute patients.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
One year of critical care experience.

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.
Administer medications and monitor patients for reactions or side effects.
Record patients' medical information and vital signs.
Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.
Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans.
Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses and conditions.
Interpret the plan of medical care and make clinical decisions regarding nursing care based on patient assessments.
