The coordinator is responsible for verifying time and attendance records, overseeing the training of new employees, and participating in staff training programs. They also counsel, discipline, and review employees with approval from management, and attend monthly Center Operations Meetings to provide input on department operations. Additionally, this position oversees support staff, coordinates film requests and management, and ensures patients receive high-quality care. The role includes performing general radiology exams, monitoring and troubleshooting equipment failures, and coordinating preventive maintenance. The coordinator is also responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations, preparing incident reports, ensuring proper charging of contrast media and supplies, acting as an initial contact for concerns, and maintaining supply inventory. They also assist in developing and maintaining a Quality Assurance Plan.
