Requirements

Knowledge of insurance companies
High school diploma
Strong communication and computer skills
Experience with EHR and Windows preferred

Responsibilities

Creates an environment that promotes customer service excellence.
Utilizing following departmental guidelines, ensures scheduling of patients providing smooth daily operations and books appropriate follow up appointments.
Oversees the Contact Center scheduled appointments for accurateness.
Serves as a liaison between staff, physicians, healthcare workers, customers and Ultrasound Manager.
Generates a monthly schedule with Ultrasound Manager to assure appropriate coverage.
Distributes schedule to staff/ASC on a monthly basis.
Coordinates testing dates, obtains/tracts results.
Obtains prior authorizations/faxes medical records for outside referrals.
Secures prior authorization for all tests that tests that require such, as far in advance as possible.
Provide overall direction for physicians and sonographers during sessions, informs patients of any delays.
Instruct patients regarding procedures to ensure cooperation and optimum results.
Ensures test orders have been entered and signed by MD’s prior to the date of service.
Answers phone/phone notes in a timely, proficient manner.
Using EMR ensures messages are taken and properly distributed.
