About The Position

The Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic imaging services in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures to ensure the best possible patient care services are delivered. This is a full-time, weekend position working three 13-hour shifts (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) from 7:30 AM to 9:30 PM, located on the main campus and working with an adult patient population. New graduates and experienced technologists are welcome to apply. A $10,000 sign-on bonus and relocation stipend are offered for full-time positions (not applicable to current or recently employed VUMC staff).

  • LIC-American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Licensure-Others
  • Relevant Work Experience
  • Graduate of an approved discipline specific program (Required)

Responsibilities

  • Reviews radiology exam requests and patient identification to ensure safe, appropriate and cost effective imaging.
  • Applies broad range of skills to ensure exam is completed timely and meets quality and compliance standards.
  • Provides appropriate screening process to patients, staff and self according to prescribed safety standards.
  • Delivers job responsibilities that impact own job area/team with some guidance.
  • Uses existing procedures, research and analysis to solve standard job related problems that may require some judgement.
