About The Position
The Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic imaging services in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures to ensure the best possible patient care services are delivered. This is a full-time, weekend position working 3x13 hour shifts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7:30 AM to 9:30 PM. The role is located on the main campus and involves working with an adult patient population. New graduates and experienced technologists are welcome to apply. A $10,000 sign-on bonus and relocation stipend are offered for full-time positions, though these are not applicable to current or recently employed VUMC staff.
Requirements
- Graduate of an approved discipline specific program (Required)
- LIC-American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Licensure-Others
- Relevant Work Experience
- Less than 1 year experience
Responsibilities
- Reviews radiology exam requests and patient identification to ensure safe, appropriate and cost effective imaging.
- Applies broad range of skills to ensure exam is completed timely and meets quality and compliance standards.
- Provides appropriate screening process to patients, staff and self according to prescribed safety standards.
