About The Position

Virtua Health is hiring a part-time Radiologic Technologist at its Voorhees location. The role administers ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes and performs a range of radiologic procedures according to established protocols and standards. The technologist operates radiographic equipment safely and follows ALARA guidelines while supporting Virtua’s mission, values, and policies. The schedule alternates between Thursday and Friday, 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., in week one, and Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., in week two. Total weekly hours are 12.5. New Virtua hires are eligible for a $500 sign-on bonus with a one-year commitment. The hourly rate is $32.19–$50.03 and varies based on experience, internal equity, and market data.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology.
Registered or registry-eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T.).
NJDEP licensure required.

Responsibilities

Perform radiologic procedures for patients of all populations according to radiologist-established protocols, applying radiation safety and protection principles and producing images of high diagnostic quality.
Document procedures thoroughly and accurately; obtain pertinent medical information, review and verify physicians’ orders, and document details such as the correct side and LMP.
Use radiographic equipment and computer systems effectively, including RIS, PACS, Web viewer, ADW workstation, and other hospital-based computer or PC systems.
Instruct and assist in training new staff or student radiologic technologists.
Operate radiographic equipment safely and responsibly in accordance with ALARA guidelines.
