Sanford Health Watertown is a non-profit healthcare system serving 10 counties in northeastern South Dakota and west-central Minnesota. Position Summary Wage: $26.00- $49.00 This full-time (0.9 status) position is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures and delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced healthcare environment. We are seeking a Radiologic Technologists I, II, or III , with placement based on education, experience, and advanced modality certifications. The ideal candidate is committed to quality, safety, teamwork, and providing an outstanding patient experience while supporting a variety of imaging services and departmental initiatives

Requirements

Completion of two years of training in an AMA-approved school of radiologic technology.
Registry eligible by ARRT
Holds or is eligible for certification by the ARRT.
Must maintain certification with the ARRT in Radiologic Technology and obtain certification in Computer Tomography within 1 year from the date of hire.
Must maintain a registry with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiologic Technology and two additional advanced modalities.

Nice To Haves

Preference will be given to applicants with Ultrasound, CT, MRI, and/or Bone Mineral Density Testing experience.

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic radiography and related imaging procedures in accordance with department protocols and quality standards.
Explain procedures to patients, answer questions, and position patients appropriately to ensure quality imaging and a positive patient experience.
Provide safe, compassionate care to patients of all ages and respond appropriately to patient needs during imaging procedures.
Follow radiation safety, imaging safety, and infection prevention standards to protect patients, visitors, and staff.
Evaluate images for quality, accuracy, and proper identification prior to transmission and interpretation.
Operate imaging equipment, PACS, and electronic medical record systems while maintaining accurate documentation.
Start IVs and administer contrast media and medications as appropriate and within scope of practice.
Assist with patient transport, department workflow, inventory management, and daily quality control activities.
Perform other duties as assigned
