Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech)
About The Position
As a Radiologic Technologist, you perform diagnostic imaging procedures while helping create a positive and reassuring experience for every patient. Through professionalism, compassion, and attention to patient care, you help patients feel respected, informed, and comfortable throughout their visit. You perform ionizing radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures in a variety of clinical settings according to physician orders. The role requires sound judgment in selecting exposure factors and imaging techniques and in providing patient care. You work effectively in fast-paced environments while maintaining exceptional patient care and promoting positive outcomes for patients and care teams. The position is at Legacy Mount Hood Medical Center, a full-service hospital offering advanced imaging and a range of other clinical services.
Requirements
- Graduate of a certified Radiologic Technology school or program.
- Current applicable state license in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology.
- Registered Radiological Technologist A.R.R.T. (R).
- BLS for Provider certification from the American Heart Association; personnel providing direct care in patient care and diagnostic areas must acquire and maintain certification.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality images accurately and efficiently, using optimal skills and knowledge of imaging equipment.
- Gather complete documentation of pertinent information to provide accurate and timely service to customers.
- Promote personal and patient care and safety using professional judgment and written standards to prevent injury.
- Maintain professional communication, appearance, conduct, punctuality, attendance, and attitude to earn the respect and confidence of physicians, patients, and coworkers.
- Perform ionizing radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures according to physician orders, applying sound judgment in exposure factors, imaging techniques, and patient care.
