About The Position
Kiowa District Healthcare is seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiologic Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging team. At KDH, our Radiologic Technologists play an essential role in patient care by providing high-quality diagnostic imaging that helps providers diagnose, treat, and care for patients. Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Current ARRT certification in good standing.
- Licensed by the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts or eligible for licensure.
- Current BLS certification.
- Strong technical, communication, and patient care skills.
- Commitment to radiation safety and quality imaging practices.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Nice To Haves
- CT experience preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using stationary and portable radiographic equipment.
- Obtain high-quality images while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and dignity.
- Perform routine radiographic examinations, including trauma and surgical procedures.
- Assist with CT and DEXA imaging procedures according to department protocols.
- Safely prepare and position patients to obtain optimal diagnostic images.
- Follow radiation safety standards and ALARA principles to ensure patient and staff safety.
- Prepare and administer contrast agents within the scope of practice and applicable regulations.
- Collaborate closely with providers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support patient care.
- Assist with scheduling exams, coordinating imaging services, and communicating with patients.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation within imaging systems.
- Perform quality control activities and assist in maintaining imaging equipment and department operations.
