The Radiologic Technologist performs imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders, hospital protocols, and established safety standards to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role operates and maintains imaging equipment, ensures patient safety and comfort, and produces high-quality diagnostic images. The Technologist collaborates with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to provide patient centered care, adheres to regulatory and accreditation requirements, and documents imaging procedures and patient information accurately in the electronic health record. The position may encompass multiple imaging modalities, including X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, mammography, and other diagnostic imaging services, depending on department needs and certification.
