About The Position

This role involves performing X-ray and CT scans, explaining procedures to patients, and ensuring the quality and usability of the images. The technologist will also be responsible for patient positioning, administering contrast dyes, maintaining equipment, managing inventory, and updating medical records. The position may also require floating to OR cases.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in a radiologic technology program
• CT Certified or Cross Trained in CT Required
• Current ARRT certification
• BLS Certification
• A valid New York State CT license
• Ability to work independently

Responsibilities

• Explaining the procedure during the X Ray/CT scan to patients
• Responsible for floating to OR cases
• Positioning patients properly to take the necessary images
• Administering contrast IV dyes to enhance imaging
• Examining images to ensure they are usable
• Updating patient medical record
• Cleaning and maintaining X Ray/CT scan equipment
• Keeping inventory of X Ray/CT scan supplies and making orders for supply restocks as required
• Other duties as assigned
