About The Position

This role involves performing X-ray and CT scans, ensuring proper patient care and accurate imaging. The position also includes Medical Office Assistant (MOA) duties, such as managing patient records, scheduling, and administrative tasks. A sign-on bonus of $15k is offered.

Requirements

Associate’s degree in a radiologic technology program
CT Certified or Cross Trained in CT Required
Current ARRT certification
BLS Certification
A valid New York State CT license
Ability to work independently

Responsibilities

Explaining the procedure during the X Ray/CT scan to patients
Responsible for floating to OR cases
Positioning patients properly to take the necessary images
Administering contrast IV dyes to enhance imaging
Examining images to ensure they are usable
Updating patient medical record
Cleaning and maintaining X Ray/CT scan equipment
Keeping inventory of X Ray/CT scan supplies and making orders for supply restocks as required
Fulfills patient care responsibilities as assigned including checking schedules and organizing patient flow; accompanying patients to exam rooms; assisting patients as needed with walking transfers, collecting specimens, preparing for exam, etc.; collecting patient history; performing screenings per provider guidelines; charting; relaying instructions to patients/families; answering calls, and providing pertinent information.
Complete clerical responsibilities as assigned that may include sending/receiving patient medical records; obtaining lab/X-ray reports, hospital notes, referral information, etc.; completing forms/requisitions as needed; scheduling appointments; verifying insurance coverage and patient demographics; managing and updating charts to ensure that information is complete and filed appropriately.
