About The Position

Virginia Western Community College is seeking a nine-month Radiography faculty member to begin in Spring 2027 (January). This position involves teaching college-level Radiography courses, primarily focusing on Radiation Science, and serving as the Program Clinical Coordinator in accordance with JRCERT standards. Faculty members typically teach 15 credits per semester (30 per academic year), which may include face-to-face and hybrid/distance learning formats during days, evenings, weekdays, and weekends. In addition to teaching, responsibilities include student advising, committee service, departmental meetings, curriculum planning, programmatic assessment, course and program evaluation, community service, club sponsorship, student recruitment and retention, and mentoring faculty. Summer teaching and clinical coordination duties are also expected, with anticipated part-time hours that may vary annually. Candidates selected for interviews will be asked to deliver a 15-minute teaching session on a pre-assigned topic.
