About The Position

The Radiographer performs quality diagnostic imaging examinations using advanced clinical and technical knowledge. The role works collaboratively with physicians, physician assistants and/or nurse practitioners, and nursing staff in support of Cook Children’s Promise. The Radiographer maintains a strong focus on safe patient care in accordance with organizational and departmental policies, procedures, and protocols, and supports regulatory compliance and radiation safety in collaboration with the Radiation Safety Officer.

The position is based in the Radiology-Diagnostic department at Medical Center - Fort Worth, works the second shift, and has 32 standard weekly hours. Employees must maintain their primary residence in Texas and all licenses and credentials required for the position throughout employment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT certification required.
• BLS - CPR required.
• TMB certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Maintain primary residence in Texas throughout employment.
• Maintain all licenses and credentials required for the position throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality diagnostic imaging examinations using advanced clinical and technical knowledge.
• Collaborate with physicians, physician assistants and/or nurse practitioners, and nursing staff in support of Our Promise.
• Maintain safe patient care in accordance with organizational and departmental policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Maintain knowledge of regulatory compliance standards and radiation safety, and collaborate with the Radiation Safety Officer to maintain departmental compliance.
