Radiographer
About The Position
The Radiographer performs radiologic procedures ordered by a physician under the direction of a Radiologist. The role supports physicians in evaluating pathological entities and providing accurate, timely diagnostic results. The Radiographer uses independent judgment to select appropriate radiographic techniques and positioning, follows safety protocols, collaborates with Radiologists and other healthcare professionals, and completes required continuing education to remain current with industry standards. The position is in the Family Medicine - Outpatient Clinic at Henry Ford Motor City Orthopedics in Warren, Michigan, and may require travel to the Detroit St. John and New Baltimore locations as needed. The schedule is part-time, 24 hours per week.
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Registered in Radiography with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT), or registry eligible; registry must be obtained within 12 months of hire.
- Healthcare Provider certification (BCLS).
Responsibilities
- Perform radiologic procedures as ordered by a physician to evaluate pathological entities.
- Use independent judgment to determine appropriate radiographic techniques and positioning.
- Ensure patient safety by adhering to established protocols and best practices.
- Collaborate with Radiologists and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain required continuing education hours to stay current with industry standards.
