Radiographer
About The Position
This position provides imaging services for outpatients, urgent care, and surgery at a Corewell Health outpatient clinic. The Radiographer coordinates and performs routine diagnostic and fluoroscopic procedures, portable x-rays, and surgery procedures according to established standards and practices. The role receives physician orders and ensures they are carried out, and verifies that equipment is present and accounted for at the beginning and end of each shift. The position is full-time, with 40 scheduled hours per week. The day shift is generally 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with flexible start and end times, Monday through Friday. Weekend work is not scheduled.
Requirements
- Associate's degree or equivalent years of experience in a related field.
- Two years of relevant experience in radiology.
- Radiographer (R) certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) upon hire.
- AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree.
- Bone Densitometry (BD) certification from the ARRT for Bone Density Sites upon hire.
