About The Position

ExpressCare Urgent Care Centers is hiring licensed Radiographers for its Baltimore locations in Maryland. The Radiographer performs x-ray examinations using established protocols and positioning techniques, explains procedures and positioning to patients, and follows radiation-protection measures. The role also supports basic patient care and clinic workflows by assisting with triage and discharge, measuring vital signs, and performing simple laboratory procedures such as EKGs, urine specimen collection, and influenza nasal swabs. Candidates should be comfortable in a fast-paced environment and focused on providing a positive patient experience.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or equivalent.
• Completion of an approved R.T. program.
• Current ARRT certification.
• Maryland State Radiographer License.
• CPR certification.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and human anatomy.
• Proficiency in operating x-ray equipment.
• Superior customer service skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to comply with the company travel policy.
• Ability to work shifts of 12 or more hours, stand or walk for long periods, and lift 25 pounds.
• Scheduling flexibility, including weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of clinical experience in a physician’s office or hospital.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic examinations using established protocols and positioning techniques.
• Explain procedures and appropriate positioning to patients before performing x-rays.
• Practice radiation-protection measures to minimize exposure for patients and employees.
• Assist with triage, discharge, and other basic patient care as the radiology workflow allows.
• Measure and record blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, height, and weight.
• Perform basic laboratory procedures, including EKGs, urine specimen collection, and influenza nasal swabs.
