About The Position

ExpressCare Urgent Care Centers is hiring licensed Radiographers for its Gambrills and Bowie, Maryland locations. Radiographers perform x-ray examinations and contribute to patient care in a fast-paced urgent care environment. The role also includes patient education, radiation safety, basic patient care, vital-sign measurement, and simple laboratory procedures.

The position requires scheduling flexibility, including weekends and holidays, and the ability to work shifts of 12 or more hours. The posting offers hourly pay of $35–$40, with overtime opportunities, and describes benefits available to full-time employees.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or equivalent.
• Completion of an approved R.T. program.
• Current ARRT certification.
• Maryland State Radiographer License.
• CPR certification.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Understanding of human anatomy.
• Proficiency in operating x-ray equipment.
• Superior customer-service skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to comply with the company travel policy.
• Ability to work 12+ hour shifts, stand and walk for long periods, and lift 25 pounds.
• Scheduling flexibility, including weekends and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• At least one year of clinical experience in a physician’s office or hospital is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic examinations, following established protocols and positioning techniques.
• Explain procedures to patients and provide appropriate positioning instructions before x-rays.
• Use radiation-protection measures to minimize exposure to patients and employees.
• Assist with triage, discharge, and other basic patient care as radiology workflow allows.
• Measure and record blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, and height/weight.
• Perform basic laboratory procedures, including EKGs, urine specimen collection, and influenza nasal swabs.
