About The Position

We are looking for a Radio Security Developer with strong cybersecurity expertise, hands-on radio verification experience, and a passion for practical software development. This role helps deliver secure, reliable radio products through security engineering, system-level verification, lab ownership, field issue investigation, and AI-enabled automation. You will work closely with system architects, security specialists, hardware teams, and software development teams to drive security and verification activities from planning through execution and continuous improvement. The role also includes software-based security mitigations and practical guidance to development teams when needed.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with nodal-level or virtualized network functions in telecom or similar distributed systems, including lab build, deployment, and system-level verification.
  • Strong background in radio security engineering and end-to-end verification, supported by Linux, networking, automation, and field-debugging expertise.
  • Minimum 5 years of industry experience in cybersecurity, security engineering, vulnerability assessment, secure software development, or related security domains.
  • Solid understanding of key network and security protocols such as IPsec/IKEv2, TLS, SNMP, and LDAP, with the ability to interpret protocol traces.
  • Practical development experience with C/C++, Python, embedded Linux, Git/Gerrit, code reviews, debugging, and unit testing.
  • Experience with security testing workflows and tools such as fuzzing suites, web security tools, vulnerability scanners, SBOM/SCA tools, and packet analyzers.
  • Practical experience using AI or scripting to automate security and verification workflows, orchestrate multiple tools, and generate structured reports.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in radio or access network hardware, or previous collaboration with hardware design and validation teams.
  • Experience integrating security and verification tooling into CI/CD pipelines and DevOps-style environments.
  • Familiarity with secure software development models such as SSDF and creating documentation, guidelines, or design rules for development teams.
  • Experience with threat and risk analysis at system or feature level.
  • A self-driven mindset for continuous security learning, including participation in external security forums, communities, or standards activities.
  • Security-related certifications such as CISSP, GSEC, OSCP, or similar.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity standards, regulations, and emerging technologies relevant to radio products, including ISO 27001, ISO 21434, IEC 62443, the EU Radio Equipment Directive, the EU Cyber Resilience Act, NIST cybersecurity guidance, and post-quantum cryptography principles.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and prioritize security testing activities across products, releases, and lab environments, ensuring clear scope, coverage, evidence, and reporting.
  • Drive application and network security testing, robustness validation, vulnerability analysis, and root-cause investigation using industry-standard tools.
  • Contribute to threat and risk assessments at feature and product level, especially where third-party and open-source components are involved.
  • Design, implement, and validate software-based security mitigations and hardening measures, especially where hardware constraints need to be considered.
  • Drive and contribute to security backlog activities from analysis and refinement through implementation, verification, and continuous improvement.
  • Design, build, operate, and maintain nodal and end-to-end verification lab environments.
  • Plan and execute system-level verification activities across radio products, releases, and lab setups.
  • Reproduce, debug, and support resolution of complex field and customer issues.
  • Work closely with hardware, software, and system teams to understand platform constraints, verification gaps, and product-level risks.
  • Develop and maintain automation pipelines, including AI-enabled workflows, to orchestrate security and verification tools and generate structured reports.
  • Provide technical guidance to software development teams when required, including support for design reviews, implementation discussions, and complex problem resolution.
  • Document test strategies, results, recommendations, and supporting evidence clearly, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on remediation and continuous improvement.
