About The Position
Delivers therapeutic radiation and patient care services as prescribed by physician. This role is part of the AHN Cancer Institute at Saint Vincent Hospital. The department is equipped with advanced technology including Elekta Versa HD linear accelerators, BrainLab Dynamic, an Elekta Flexitron HDR Afterloader, and a Siemens Biograph PET/CT. Treatment modalities include 3D, IMRT/VMAT, SBRT, SRS/SRT, SGRT, HDR, and LDR seed implants.
Requirements
- Minimum ARRT Registered Technologist, RT(T) in good standing or board eligible (must complete certification within 1 year of hire)
- CPR – American Heart Association
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
Responsibilities
- Performs patient simulations.
- Delivers prescribed radiation treatment.
- Assesses, supports, and educates patients according to specific department guidelines.
- Maintains medical records for treatment delivery, charge entry and quality assurance in accordance with regulatory and departmental guidelines.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required including, but not limited to, mentoring employees/students and participating in department and organizational initiatives.
