About The Position

We are seeking a Radiation Oncologist for a Locum Tenens position in Billings, MT. This role involves both outpatient and inpatient services, with a coverage period from ASAP to August 31, 2027. The schedule includes 9-hour shifts plus call, with a 1:4 call ratio (one week per month). The average daily patient volume is 10-15, with 2-3 phone consults per day. The case mix includes Radiation Oncology, Medical Oncology, and GYN Oncology. The facility is a Level I Trauma Center utilizing the Cerner EMR system and equipped with Varian linear accelerators (TrueBeam, Trilogy), a Siemens Go Sim CT, Aria EMR, and Eclipse treatment planning software. Specialty backup is available from Medical Oncology, Gynecologic Oncology, Physics, and Dosimetry. The support staff includes 2 RNs.

Requirements

• BC/BE
• MT or IMLC license
• BLS certification
• Fellowship required

Responsibilities

• Provide radiation oncology consultations, follow-ups, and treatment visits.
• Participate in tumor board conferences.
• Take call on a rotating schedule (one week per month).
• Develop and implement treatment plans using advanced techniques (IMRT, IGRT, etc.).
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team including medical and gynecologic oncology.
