About The Position

The West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Radiation Oncology Department are seeking a Radiation Oncologist. The successful candidate will practice in Wheeling, WV, and will be expected to provide excellent patient care, teach medical students, residents, and fellows, and be actively involved in the WVU Cancer Institute's multidisciplinary medical teams. The WVU Cancer Institute is West Virginia’s premier cancer treatment center, utilizing the latest cancer therapies and having an active clinical trials program. WVU Medicine is West Virginia University’s affiliated health system, the state's largest private employer, and a national leader in patient safety and quality.

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent.
  • Eligible for state medical license.
  • Completed radiation oncology residency program.
  • Board certified / eligible in radiation oncology.
  • All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

Responsibilities

  • Practice in the areas of radiation oncology.
  • Provide excellent patient care.
  • Be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows.
