About The Position

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute (FCS) is expanding its pool of radiation oncologists for its outpatient clinics throughout Florida on an as-needed basis. The radiation oncology team currently operates 12 sites across Florida. FCS is fully standardized on Varian technology, including linear accelerators (TrueBeam and VitalBeam), ARIA, and Eclipse treatment planning systems. The practice offers a comprehensive radiation oncology staffing model, including physicists, dosimetrists, nurses, medical assistants, clerical support, radiation therapists, lead therapists, and on-site management. The role also involves participation in Brachytherapy and Radioligand therapy programs. The department is accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR).

Requirements

Full unrestricted Florida MD/DO License
Board-Certified in Radiation Oncology preferred
Extensive knowledge of radiation therapy procedures and techniques
Clear results of a thorough background screening
Receive various vaccinations, including the influenza vaccine, barring an approved exemption
Pass drug/nicotine testing (Medical Marijuana cards are not recognized)

Responsibilities

Provide radiation oncology services in outpatient clinics.
Utilize Varian technology, including linear accelerators, ARIA, and Eclipse treatment planning systems.
Participate in Brachytherapy and Radioligand therapy programs.
Collaborate with a comprehensive radiation oncology team.
