About The Position

OSF HealthCare is seeking a Radiation Oncologist to join a busy, well-established cancer center in Rockford, Illinois. This is an outstanding opportunity to step into a strong clinical practice with advanced technology, collaborative support, and excellent earning potential. Join five Hematology/Oncology physicians, three APP’s, one Radiation Oncologist and additional surgical and trauma providers in this Center for Cancer Care attached to OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center, a Level 1 Trauma Center in Rockford, Illinois. The practice is established and growing, supported by a robust oncology team consisting of physicists, dosimetrists, therapists, and dedicated nursing staff. There is strong patient volume with immediate ramp-up potential. The center utilizes advanced technologies including 2 state-of-the-art linear accelerators, HDR brachytherapy, CT simulator & advanced imaging, and Eclipse treatment planning system & ARIA scheduling. A full spectrum of therapies are offered, including Stereotactic Radiotherapy (SRT/SBRT) and Radiopharmaceuticals, providing comprehensive cancer treatment across all disease sites.

Requirements

  • Doctorate degree.
  • Physician Licensed to practice medicine in current state.
  • Board certified or board eligible in the appropriate specialty(ies).
  • Eligible for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs.
  • Must meet all qualifications to participate in OSF's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.
  • Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and the State of Illinois to prescribe narcotics, if applicable.
  • Obtain and maintain medical staff membership and appropriate privileges.

Responsibilities

  • Provide radiation oncology services within a well-established cancer center.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary oncology team including physicists, dosimetrists, therapists, and nursing staff.
  • Utilize advanced technologies such as linear accelerators, HDR brachytherapy, CT simulators, and advanced imaging.
  • Administer a full spectrum of therapies including Stereotactic Radiotherapy (SRT/SBRT) and Radiopharmaceuticals.
  • Provide comprehensive cancer treatment across all disease sites.
