Radar System Modes & Algorithms Lead

Honeywell Aerospace•Torrance, CA
•$118,000 - $147,000•Hybrid

About The Position

The Radar System Modes & Algorithms Lead leads the execution of radar signal processing, modes, and software across radar development programs. This includes weather signal processing, waveform design and implementation, embedded radar software, software architecture, and development of future multi-mode radar capabilities. Working with the PI and other system leads, the role establishes the technical approach and software capabilities for radar prototypes. The position calls for hands-on technical leadership of end-to-end radar signal processing, modes, and software development from concept through integrated prototype demonstration. The role covers radar architecture and implementation; mode definition and development; waveform, scan strategy, and resource management; signal-processing and algorithm development; modeling, simulation, and data analysis; and radar subsystem prototyping. The position is based in Torrance, California; Phoenix, Arizona; or Redmond, Washington, with a hybrid schedule of three days onsite and two days remote, Monday through Friday. It reports to the Senior R&D Manager. Applicants must meet the U.S. person requirement under applicable export-control laws.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
  • Experience in radar or RF systems, such as radar modes, radar signal, or radar system work.
  • Systems engineering experience in at least two of the following: requirements, design, specification development, modeling, simulation, performance analysis, hardware/software integration, test, or verification.
  • Must be a U.S. person, defined as a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or person with protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

Nice To Haves
