About The Position

Midtown is seeking a Racquet Sports Coach who is passionate about helping members and fostering their love of racquet sports. The role involves coaching adults and youth through group and private lessons. The position is intended to describe the general requirements of the role and may include other duties as necessary to ensure proper department operations.

Midtown strives to hire coaches committed to full-time employment, but also hires part-time and seasonal coaches. Coaches averaging at least 28 hours per week of on- and off-court duties qualify for full-time benefits. Full-time compensation, including the value of benefits and assuming 30 hours of instruction per week, is stated as $65,000 to $85,000 annually, depending on credentials and experience.

Requirements

• Relevant coaching experience, including group and private lessons for adults and youth.
• Safe Play certification, or willingness to obtain it before hiring.
• One nationally recognized racquet sports certification, or willingness to obtain certification within three months of hire.
• An NTRP rating of 4.0 or equivalent and the ability to demonstrate skills effectively.
• A growth mindset and curiosity.
• Passion for helping others, an optimistic outlook, and enthusiasm for coming to work.

Responsibilities

• Provide group and private racquet sports lessons for adults and youth.
• Help members develop their skills and foster their enthusiasm for racquet sports.
• Perform other duties as assigned to ensure proper department operations.
